Starting and finishing with amazing service. The tacos were spot on. Personally recommending the snapper and mango taco a must try in my opinion.The steak with chimichurri is a great share plate and you cannot go past the guacamole and chips.If you’re in the area and want a decent meal with great prices D’ La Rosa is a must!!! 5 stars

Cheerful tapas place with indoor and outdoor undercover seating. We came on a ‘first table’ which made it great value. They had a good range of drinks and cocktails. Food was excellent, it was all very fresh and full of flavour. I especially loved the calamari and the gambas! I think I would leave the croquettes next time and try something else, I found them average. Overall a lovely place for tapas!

I wish I could say we had a great experience at this restaurant, but unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. My wife and I ordered the Chimichurri Steak, expecting a decent meal, but what we got instead was a frustrating ordeal.As someone who has worked as a chef before, I understand that during busy periods, customers can expect to wait—sometimes up to 45 minutes at peak times. However, waiting 1.5 hours for a single steak is completely unacceptable. We reminded the staff and the manager/owner four times, yet nothing was done. To make matters worse, an hour into our wait, another couple was seated next to us, also ordered a steak, and received theirs within 20 minutes.When our steak finally arrived, it was completely raw. We sent it back, expecting a proper recook, but instead, they simply put it in the oven for a couple of minutes. The result? A terrible texture and taste—so bad we couldn’t even finish half of it.When I went to pay, I calmly mentioned our issues, hoping for at least an apology. Instead, the manager/owner argued with me about whether the steak was cooked correctly in the first place. There was no accountability, no acknowledgment of the ridiculous wait time, and certainly no attempt at compensation.Final Verdict: As someone who understands the restaurant industry, I can confidently say this is not how you treat customers. The least they could have done was apologize, but instead, they doubled down on poor service.If you decide to dine here I hope your experience is better

It was a great experience at D’ La Rosa! It’s always nice to find a place that brings authentic flavors, especially when the whole family enjoys it. Superb food, staff were so friendly and looked after us, delivery of food was spaced perfectly to allow me to get thru it all. Sangria was delicious. First was Margherita. It was terrible and tasted like a mocktail. No taste of tequila at all and is cost over $20.Got a wine next and it was good.Next was bread with goats cheese, ham and capsicum. It was delicious, at this point I was excited for the rest.Then ceviche. Sauce and fish was ok but very small for the price. It was covered in avocado which was out of place and ruined it. Take off the avocado and reduce the price to $12 and you have a good tapas dish.Finally, the black croquette. Squid ink béchamel with seafood croquette. Sounded great but was absolutely disgusting. Tasted like rotten salty fish and now I feel sick. Do not order this.Overall, very strange restaurant.Get the bread, goats cheese and capsicum dish and drink wine and then run away

The Snapper mango taco definitely tastes only coriander and nothing else. There is no trace of mango on it as we had before at Bonita Bonita venue for example. There is no salt in the fish and presentation is poor.There is no much filling in the beef taco too. It is just minced beef and cheese, and taste only spicy.We don’t recommend tacos at all, but maybe nachos is a better option..

We visited Dla Rosa for a casual dinner, and it truly was a lovely experience.We kicked things off with the Honey-Glazed Eggplant, which was the perfect blend of sweet and savory. I went for the Meatballs, and they were hearty and packed with flavor. My partner enjoyed the Patatas Bravas, which were simply delicious.Everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented. Cute vibe and delicious food. The ceviche and croquettes were amazing. Snapper Tacos and potato bravos great too – they’d run out of chimichurri steak and the paella was disappointing. Service was terrible! After reading the reviews we were keen to try this restaurant out for some authentic Spanish food! We won’t be back.

Unfortunately wasn’t a great experience, we waited 1.5 hours for our food, they brought out adults food before the kids who were starving and tired. The wait staff were lovely and apologetic, but the food needs some work. The plant based croquettes just tasted like mush, and the mushroom taco was plain. The price of one can of sprite was $7 (for a child), and the food in general was far over priced for the actual quality.Hopefully they can make some improvements, it feels like a tourist trap for now.

Went here for a chilled lunch with family. The location gives a cantina vibe, but the food doesn’t disappoint.Food: each course was well put together, although the steak could have come a little faster. The paella was good, but not the best I’ve ever had – I think that’s partly as I chose not to have the chorizo as an add on, which would have given it a bit more kick (needed some spice and a little more salt). If you get the croquettes, I thought the chicken were OK, but the cheese were the real show stoppers.Drinks: the sangria was great as were the margaritas. I suggest ordering a jug of sangria every time for best value, you’ll go through it easily.Service: good service but a little slow.Overall: I’d come here again multiple times, the price for a chilled lunch (including 2 jugs of sangria and 2 cocktails) was about $75 a head – probably a little on the pricier end but wasnt unhappy about it. Hail Mary tacos are probably on average $1 cheaper per taco.

It was one of the only places open on Christmas Day and we were hungry and had limited choices… BUT we were so pleasantly surprised at how incredible the food was and how friendly the staff were (even when they were run off their feet). Disappointing! I ordered Estrella Galicia (awarded beer) and I got on the table Estrella Roja (without telling me). When asked, the guy said is the one we serve when the other runs out (likely happens to many clients and they don’t know). For those we have tried there is a significant quality difference between them. Then, I had the eggplant with hummus/dip and cheese and that was sad. Really thin slices covered with lots of cheese and eggplant flavour not distinguishable at all. Finally got the ceviche tapa, and I have to say it was loaded in oil, lacking of lemon/citrus touch and specially very fishy flavour (which isn’t the goal with ceviche). Fish cuts were not ideal for ceviche and had to cut the tissue out of some big chunks. Spent over $80 and felt sad for the experience. Likely many people go there and get anything served as they have not reference to critic what is on the table.

Had a great time at D’La Rosa in Mermaid Beach. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making us feel really welcome from the start. We are from Tweed Heads and D’La Rosa is worth driving to. The food is amazing and the staff are super friendly.The whole menu is tasty but the nachos are to die for and the main reason we visit. They have some tasty cocktails but the Cinderella man with gin instead is incredible 🥰👌This little restaurant is perfect for all occasions and they have used the space well.I highly recommend!

Took a group of people to try out this place. It’s pretty average quality. The paella wasn’t cooked through properly. Everything was either too salty or too bland and too oily. For the price you’d expect better quality. This was take away standards. There are far better casual tapas or mexican options around.

We ordered takeaway. The potatoes were hard & had soooo much oil . The tacos (one was missing main ingredient) the paella was extremely salty. Maybe because we ordered before a certain time we got the dregs as is 30 percent off. Yuk ! We won’t be back
